How a stay in the village at 1 300 m is organised when you leave the car at home.
Le Praz is the historic village of Courchevel, at 1 300 m, wooded and quieter in the evening than the higher villages of the resort. It is one of the six villages that make up Courchevel, and it is connected to the rest of the resort by the Le Praz gondola and by the resort's free shuttles.
That connection is what makes a car-free stay realistic: you leave the apartment on foot in the morning and come back the same way. Lift and shuttle operation, stops and frequencies change with the season and with conditions, so we always check the resort's official information for the day rather than quoting a fixed timetable.
All three of our residences in the village are apartments: Le Pralin sleeps six across three bedrooms, Le Oura and Le Peclet each sleep four across two bedrooms. Arrival is the only part that needs planning ahead — the concierge arranges your transfer from the station or airport before you travel, and takes care of ski hire, deliveries and restaurant bookings so the week does not need a car at any point.
