26 December 2026 to 2 January 2027: match an address to your group, think through your days and plan the concierge requests that matter to you.
A New Year chalet should work for the people staying in it, not just look right in a photograph. Start with your guest list, sleeping arrangements and the shape of an ordinary day: skiing together, returning separately or spending more time at the residence. Location and layout come before the extras.
Fix the week before planning the celebration
The proposed stay runs from Saturday 26 December 2026 to Saturday 2 January 2027: seven nights, with New Year’s Eve on 31 December during the stay. Agree the outward and return journeys across the group first, then build a week that leaves room for different routines.
Use DOMA’s New Year selection in Méribel to compare the five residences and the rates for this particular week. You can contact Marc about a specific property or ask for advice. Availability and the terms of a stay require direct confirmation; this guide does not guarantee a booking.
Choose an address that works for your days
Méribel Centre, La Gittaz, Les Allues and Le Raffort offer different addresses within the destination. Check how your group will leave for skiing, how non-skiers will return and how you will travel in the evening rather than assuming every journey is walkable. The Méribel destination guide puts the valley in context.
DOMA Chalet L'Arbalète is in Méribel Centre, with space for 10 guests across 5 bedrooms. Its private sauna is relevant if relaxation at the residence matters to your group. A central address is still something to assess against your actual journeys, not a promise of ski-in/ski-out access.
In La Gittaz, DOMA Chalet L'Amont accommodates 8 guests in 4 en-suite bedrooms. For couples or families sharing a week, that bedroom arrangement is a useful comparison with the ten-person chalets. Discuss sleeping arrangements and morning departures together.
In Les Allues, DOMA Chalet M accommodates 10 guests in 5 bedrooms, with an indoor pool, hammam and fitness room. It suits a brief in which time at the residence is as important as outings. Also in Les Allues, DOMA Chalet Le Tera is an apartment for 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and a terrace: a smaller-scale option for a smaller party.
In Le Raffort, DOMA Chalet La Terrasse du Raffort is an apartment for 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed, a fireplace and a large private terrace. Six-person capacity does not mean three separate bedrooms. Agree who will use each sleeping space before deciding on the address.
Turn the guest list into a room plan
Write down the adults and children travelling, then allocate bedrooms before you shortlist. For eight to ten guests, consider privacy and bathroom arrangements; for six guests, establish who would use a sofa bed where it forms part of the stated capacity. A maximum guest count is only the start of judging whether a residence fits.
Ask which bed configurations are possible rather than assuming they are the same in every property. Beginners, children and non-skiers may keep different hours, so think about keys, separate returns and transport. For a broader view, read how to choose a chalet for your group.
Arrange the essentials, leave room in the diary
Before travelling, gather your transport plans, vehicle count, equipment-hire needs, ski levels and any lesson requests. Clarify arrival arrangements, parking and key handover for the chosen residence. Check a provider’s terms when you book rather than relying on a timetable or price carried over from a previous season.
For New Year’s Eve, first decide whether you would prefer dinner at the residence or to request a restaurant table. Share dietary preferences, allergies and the number dining. Keep ski days flexible: no particular event, entertainment programme or snow conditions are promised by this article.
Make concierge requests specific
Transfers, equipment hire, a private chef or restaurant reservations can be discussed with Marc ahead of the stay. Explain what you need so he can confirm what can be arranged. These are requests, subject to confirmation and provider availability; they are not described here as services included in the rental.
Before committing, request written confirmation of the property, dates, applicable rate, terms and agreed services. A useful enquiry gives your guest count, group composition, priorities, budget and preferred contact channel. If two addresses appeal, explain the trade-off you are weighing rather than making the decision on a photograph alone.
